In 1999, Dr. David Bass developed a theory to improve spinal therapy. He believed so strongly in the idea that he dedicated eight years into research and development to turn the idea into a reality. Today, the amazing Antalgic-Trak is treating patients around the world.

Antalgic-Trak has a wide variety of spinal therapies including advanced forms of  decompression, multiple forms of intermittent traction and a unique therapy called Sequential Spinal Elongation (SSE). SSE is a special program that can automatically increases and decreases the strength of the therapy at different intervals during the session. Amazing.

However, Dr Bass' greatest creations are the multi-axis articulating features. These features enable the doctor to adjust the position of the spine into a variety postures. Why is this so important? Because varied spinal postures re-direct how the decompression forces move into and around the spine. This enables the therapy to reach areas that the older decompression systems miss. We call this articulating range-of-motion decompression and it's the first and only system of its kind in the world.

The images below show the variety of Antalgic-Trak motion.

In 2004, Dr. Bass partnered with colleague and friend Dr. Scott Denny (co-developer of the project) and together they co-founded Spinetronics, LLC, the manufacturer of Antalgic-Trak. Dr. Denny's insights and clinical knowledge helped advance the capabilities of the Antalgic-Trak into the state-of-the-art treatment system it is today.

Doctors and therapists have embraced the new and improved technology and hail its creation as one of the most dramatic improvements in non-surgical spinal therapy ever created. The sophisticated articulating features and the state-of-the-art "Range-of-Motion" features have changed everything. It makes every other system seem obsolete.

What if I'm in pain and I can't lie in a comfortable position? Antalgic-Trak can make you comfortable by positioning itself into your "condition posture." Condition postures are postures that patients bend or lean into to avoid pain. The Antalgic-Trak can duplicate that posture and begin your therapy in that posture. As you improve, we begin to move the adjustable sections back towards spinal neutrality until you are comfortable in a normal neutral posture.

Neck and low back positioning: When spinal ranges-of-motion are restricted or locked and need improvement, the doctor administers a series of gentle ROM movements using Antalgic-Trak's precise articulating sections.

Improved Movements: Each Antalgic-Trak section can articulate (move) in 10 different directions (planes) and helps the cervical spine (neck) and lumbar spine (low back) improve or restore joint function.

Multiple Postured Decompression: This feature enables the doctor to set the articulation feature into a specific position and then perform decompression. This re-directs and controls how and where the decompression-traction forces move through the spine. Improved targeting means improved results.

There are multiple treatment applications with the Antalgic-Trak. Some patients only receive traction or decompression. Others receive the traction or decompression in combination with Antalgic-Trak's range-of-motion therapy, and lastly some patients only receive the range-of-motion therapy. Your doctor or therapist will help determine which is most appropriate.
